Also, analyze the forms of oppression experienced by these women as being fat. The methodological approach chosen was of qualitative research from a feminist perspective, which looks at gender relations as unequal. The results show that in women's discourses there are several influences from the media as well as other elements for the oppression, regulation and propagation of gordofobia based on the inheritance of a society whose roots, fundamentally patriarchal, reflect and reinforce an inequality in gender relations which, in turn, mark and regulate strongly the female bodies.
In addition, the space of the blog proved to be a place where some women, when coming in contact with the speeches of others, felt empowered. This article aims at analyzing how themes related to the feminist struggle appears in the discourse of university students who chose to not have children when they are invited to talk about this.
Four young university students, aged between 20 and 25 years, participated in the study, attending different undergraduate courses in Rio Grande do Sul's inner city. Five meetings were held in the format of the exploratory focus group that were recorded and transcribed. It was possible to note that three of four participants demonstrated to know the feminist struggle and to recognize the reproductive and sexual rights of the women.
One of the participants was contradictory in her speech, affirming there was no difference between men and women in the labor market, and the differences were natural, but at other times she demonstrated frustration as to the functions assigned to women, showing a changing desire. It is concluded that the themes of non-maternity and the feminist struggle are broad, appearing in the discourse of young women who choose to not have children.
