Any help or information on the place would be great! I just got back from Temptations Cancun a few days ago. Where to begin It is a beautiful resort with sophisticated, updacale, modern decor. The layout howver sucks. Many other rooms face the interior courtyard where loud music is played from 6pm - 1am. At least all the bars and restaurants are easy to get to and centrally located inside the complex.
The food there was just great and far surpassed what I have experienced at other 4 star resorts. Once I upoad my pictures, I will be writing my full review and posting pics, stay tuned.. Also the service of the food staff and counter staff as well was really good. As far as the "swinging" goes and other racy behavior, I saw none of it whatsoever. I don't know where the talk is coming from.
There was no canoodling and if any swinging happened it was all behind closed doors and very discrete. I have to say that I was actually dissapointed by how tame it really was. Just saw the usuall drunks and topless sunbathers but nothing I didn't see in Cuba or anywhere else. The main disappointment though had to be the busy road and out of control commercial development of Cancun. I was expecting more charm, more nature and less high rise development.
It was a real shocker for me. The final thing that I found very disppointing was the beach situation. Temptations has a miniscule beach that was totally unswimable, filled with weeds and rocks.
You could not take a stroll along it anywhere either. Furthermore we found one beach a bus ride away and could not enjoy it due to all the shady characters hanging around and the Hard Rock Cafe rubbish surrounding it also. Very sad. So read the good and read the bad and make an informed decision so you are not surprised like we were and feel free to contact me if you need anymore feedback. We just returned last Sunday and I can tell you that this is noe a swinger resort, there were a few swingers there but they were descrete.
